Edward L. Cravener, 43, of Belvidere, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008 at his home.
Born on Sept. 23, 1965, in Phillipsburg, he was the son of Herman L. and Helen Marie DeVries Cravener of Bangor, Pa.
Ed was a welder for Lazy-Man Company, Belvidere, for over 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 131 Belvidere. He was a 1985 graduate of Belvidere High School and entered the National Guard.

Richard C. Kramer, 84, of Great Meadows, formerly of Hackettstown, died Nov. 18, 2008 in the Compassionate Care Hospice at Saint Clare's Hospital-Dover after a long illness.
Born Aug. 6, 1924 in New York City, he was a son of the late William and Hannah Deterick Kramer.
Mr. Kramer was a vice president of Midlantic National Bank in Newton, working for nearly 40 years until is retirement. He was an advocate for crime victims and honored for his work as president of Voices for Victims.

Tita Varquez Rauschenberger, 39, of Mansfield Township died of lung cancer Nov. 14, 2008 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 5, 1969 in Albuquerque, Bohol, Philippines, she was a daughter of Maria Paz Ugdoracion Lim and the late Baltazar Varques.
Mrs. Rauschenberger came to the United States at age 13, living in Pacifica, Calif., and East Hanover before moving to Mansfield Township six years ago. She was a first grade teacher for 12 years at Valley View Elementary School in Montville. She previously taught kindergarten and second grade in the Montville school system.

Christine "Chris" F. Finnegan, 64, of Belvidere, was called home on Nov. 19, 2008.
Born on Aug. 29, 1944 in Elizabeth she was the daughter of the late Walter and Viola Czajka Dudek. Chris was a native of Roselle and had lived in Belvidere for over 25 years where she raised her family.
A graduate of Bellevue Nursing School in New York City, Chris dedicated her over 40 year career in nursing to the treatment of patients in several local hospitals as well as private oncology practices. Chris' benevolent spirit extended beyond her professional life; in the service of her family, church and community. With a kind and humble soul, her life is a testament that one person can make a difference.

George Vreeland Stephens Jr., 71, a lifelong resident of Long Valley, died Nov. 10, 2008 at his home.
Born Oct. 18, 1937 in Long Valley, he was a son of the late George V. Sr. and Mabel Sutton Stephens and lived in the same house all his life.
Mr. Stephens was a truck driver with Kirk Allen Trucking Co. in Chester. He previously was employed by Salmon Bros. in Netcong and Harrington Construction Co. in Chester. He also was the owner of Stephen's Tree Service for over 30 years.

Geraldine M. Casale, 95, died after a long illness Nov. 11, 2008 at the Forest Manor Health Care Center in Frelinghuysen Township, where she most recently had been a resident.
Born April 15, 1913 in Newark, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Funcina Cella.
Mrs. Casale lived in Newark for most of her life before moving to Warren County 25 years ago. She was a former line worker for D.S. Plumbs in Newark.
She was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Belvidere.

Laura Eliza Ball, 48, of Blairstown died Nov. 10, 2008 at the Barn Hill Care Center in Newton.
Born in Newton, she was a daughter of George S. and Elizabeth Saunders Ball.
Miss Ball lived in Sparta for most of her life before moving to Blairstown since 2000. She was a photographer and owned Laura Eliza Studios, a graphic arts firm in Bernardsville.
She graduated in 1978 from Sparta High School and in 1982 from Pace University, Briarcliff Manor, N.Y. Miss Ball was a member of the Back Roads organization who enjoyed hiking, whitewater rafting and other outdoor activities.

Eleanor F. Parfrey, 84, of Delaware, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services of Palmer Township, Pa.
Born on Dec. 3, 1923 in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Eva Wells Steeber.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Henry Parfrey.

Lillian V. Haring, 90, of Belvidere, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township.
Born on June 14, 1918 in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Elwood E. and Hazel R. Murphy Eckert.
Mrs. Haring graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1936. She was a telephone operator at the Warren County Court House, Belvidere, for over 20 years before retiring. She was predeceased by two husbands, William S. VanSickle and Milton B. Haring.

Mae L. "Jeannette" Royal, 90, of the Brookfield section of White Township passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, Pa.
Born on December 28, 1917 in North Adams, Mass., she was one of 11 children of the late Henri and Martha Melancon Lepine.
Jeannette was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, and a member of the Brookfield Solitaires. She was a former member of the 39ers Club of St. Andrew's Church, Clifton.

Pauline A. PolizzottoBorn on March 20, 1941 in Pawtucket, R.I., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Betty Juaire Lussier.
Mrs. Polizzotto was a tariff publisher for Transax Company, Bridgewater, for many years.
She was a parishioner of St. Patrick R. C. Church, Belvidere, NJ and a member of the Disciples of Service.

Herman Joseph Grehl, 97, of Chatham, died peacefully at home on Tuesday Nov. 11 2008.
Herman was born and raised in Newark and lived in Nutley and Hackettstown for most of his adult life before moving to Chatham in 2005. He was a former communicant of St. Mary's Church, Nutley, St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, Hackettstown, Our Lady of the Mountain, Long Valley, and St. Patrick's Church, Chatham. He served as an usher at St. Mary's in Hackettstown and lector at Our Lady of the Mountain.
After more then 40 years of service, he retired in 1972 from the actuarial department of Prudential Insurance Co., Newark. He was a past treasurer of the Nutley First Aid Squad and a member of the Hackettstown First Aid Squad. An avid gardener and bowler his entire life, after retiring he bowled in three leagues a week and was secretary-treasurer of two of them until 2005.

Floyd S. "Randy" Randolph, 81, of Blairstown died Nov. 3, 2008 at Newton Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 28, 1926 in Bound Brook where he grew up on a farm along the Weston Canal.
Mr. Randolph was an Army veteran serving in Germany during World War II and with the military police during the Nuremburg trials. He met his wife, Nancy Thwaites Randolph, on a blind date that led to their marriage of 56 years. The Randolphs started their family in Middlesex and finished raising their family in Flemington. They retired in 1993 to Blairstown where they were active members of the First Presbyterian Church of Blairstown.
An operating and lead engineer, Mr. Randolph was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 825 for over 50 years. He had an early interest in bird hunting but his true sporting love was fishing on the Salmon River in Pulaski with his sons and grandsons for salmon and steelhead trout.

Dorothy Edolo, 73, of Palmer Township, Pa., died Nov. 13, 2008 at the Hospice of VNA of St. Luke's in Bethlehem, Pa.
Born March 22, 1935 in Harmony Township, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Violet Dugans.
Mrs. Edolo lived in Washington before moving to Palmer Township three years ago. She worked in customer service at the Sears catalog store in Washington Borough for 25 years, retiring in 1992. She was a 1952 graduate of Eastside High School in Paterson.

Theresa M. Rebinski, 72, of Mansfield Township died Nov. 6, 2008 at her home.
Born Oct. 7, 1936 in Dupont, Pa., she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Soroka Sudol.
Mrs. Rebinski lived in Lake Hopatcong before moving to Mansfield Township 41 years ago. A homemaker, she served hundreds of hours as a volunteer at Hackettstown Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of the Mansfield Township Seniors. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Sudol.
