    Wednesday November 19, 2008, 12:53 PM

SCOTCH PLAINS--After last year's first place dual meet finish among New Jersey YMCAs top tier, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Boys "Black" swim team is finding out that it's hard to stay on top. In their second meet of the year, the boys had some outstanding performances but were outscored by the boys' team from Red Bank.

The Individual Medley races went back and forth with Greg Baliko securing the only first place finish for FSPY in the 13-14 200 yard IM. Yet the boys earned enough points in the other races to remain tied after the IM races.

The remaining individual races were also close. For the 8 & unders, Zach Arber posted two first place finishes, in the 25 Freestyle and 25 Breaststroke, while Kyle Foster posted a season's best time and third place in the 25 free.

For the 9-10s, first place was notched by Matthew Auda (50 Fly) and Nolan Kearns (50 Breast). Best times were posted by Josh Davidson (50 Free) Colin Sullivan & Jake Lessner (both 50 Back) and Brody Rash (50 Fly).
