Uh-oh, I was in trouble. One of the men in the red and white Beijing 2008 shirts didn't want me to go any further. He wasn't able to speak English, but he made it perfectly clear -- the paddock where Brendan was headed was a no-no for a journalist.
Actually, I realized that, but in my eagerness, it slipped my mind. Okay, I'll confess -- I thought I could get away with it. I should have known better. You don't get away with anything at the Olympics.

New Jersey is getting a trails plan update, its first since 1996, presenting equestrians with opportunities for maximizing pursuit of their activities in the countryside as the state's landscape changes.
During the hearing process for the plan, set to be approved by the New Jersey Trails Council Aug. 5, "we did get a lot of response from the equestrian user group," said Annette Schultz, the project manager for the RBA Group of Parsippany which put together the document.
