A residence in the 800 block of North Avenue West reported a burglary theft on September 2 at 3:13 p.m.

Kaleeft Lee, 26, of Madison, was arrested in the area of the Southside train station on an outstanding Parsippany warrant for $200 following a motor vehicle stop on September 4 at 11:54 p.m. Lee posted bail and was released.

A Pepsi machine was damaged by an unknown person who attempted to break into it by smashing it with a heavy object at, a business in the 400 block of E. North Avenue. The machine is located at the exterior of the business, who reported the incident on September 4 at 8:20 a.m.

WESTFIELD
David Sharpe of Westfield was arrested at Clifton Street and Beverly Drive and charged with driving while intoxicated on August 26 at 2:35 a.m. Sharpe was issued a summons for refusal to submit to breathe samples in addition to the driving while intoxicated charge. He was released to the care of a responsible adult.

Patrick Hughes, 19, of Westfield was arrested at his residence in the 200 block of Sunset Avenue on an outstanding Westfield warrant for $130 on September 1 at 8:35 p.m. He posted bail and was released.
SCOTCH PLAINS
Jamar Green, 24, of City View Circle in Cincinnati, Ohio was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a motor vehicle stop on August 29. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.
WF PD announce three DWI arrests

WESTFIELD -- On August 27, 2008, Captain David Wayman of the Westfield Police Department, announced the arrest of three individuals for Driving While Intoxicated on Saturday, Aug. 23.
These arrests came as a result of a DWI Checkpoint established on Central Ave between the hours of 10 pm and 3 am. The DWI checkpoint was funded by the "Over the Limit, Under Arrest" state grant that the Police Department received this month.
The Westfield Police Department also announces that they will be conducting another DWI Checkpoint on Saturday, August 30. The checkpoint will be conducted on either Central Ave., North Ave., South Ave., Springfield Ave. or East Broad St.

SCOTCH PLAINS
Thomas Sacco, 45, of Putman Avenue in Plainfield, and Raymond Smith, 20, of Franklin Avenue in Plainfield were charged with theft on August 21. The subjects were arrested on railroad tracks as they were removing railroad spikes to sell for scrap metal. They were transported to headquarters where they were processed, then transported to the Union County Jail after they were unable to make bail.

Charile Fields, 45, of S. 16th Street in Newark was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance on August 24 following a motor vehicle stop. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.

Vincent Yannone of Cranford was charged with driving while intoxicated at Central Avenue and Frazee Court on August 24 at 12:19 a.m. He posted an alcotest reading of 0.14 and was turned over to a responsible party.

Brian Walsh of Westfield was charged with driving while intoxicated at Central Avenue and Frazee Court on August 23 at 11:08 p.m. He posted an alcotest reading of 0.12. He was turned over to a responsible party.

Philip Fladger of Plainfield was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on August 23 at 3:30 a.m.

SCOTCH PLAINS
Adam Silverman, 18, of Tillotson Road in Fanwood was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled dangerous substance on August 13. An officer investigating the selling of controlled dangerous substances in the vicinity of the Scotch Plains Library arrested Silverman for distribution. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released on bail.

Mitchell Cohen, 22, of Newark Avenue in Scotch Plains was arrested following a motor vehicle stop and charged with driving while intoxicated on August 16. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.

Drew Miller, 23, of Lyde Place in Scotch Plains was charged with theft on August 16. He was stopped and arrested after a report of a suspicious person looking into vehicles. He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released.

Jesse Leibowitz, of Livingston was arrested following a motor vehicle stop and charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on August 19 at 1:28 a.m.

Robin A. Teufel, 20, of Berkeley Heights was arrested and charged with possession of under 50 grams of a controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, following a motor vehicle stop at Central and South Avenue on August 13 at 1:10 a.m. She was released on recognizance on a summons.

Michael Palumbo of Madison was arrested on an outstanding Union warrant on August 15 at 5:23 p.m. While Palumbo was posting bail, it was discovered that Susan Palumbo also had an active warrant out of Madison for which she was arrested.

SCOTCH PLAINS
Albert Alfredo, 21, and Amilcar Santiago, 19, both of Front Street in Plainfield were arrested for possession of a loaded handgun on August 7. An officer stopped their vehicle for a moving violation and observed the loaded handgun between the two. They were transported to headquarters where they were processed and transported to the Union County Jail after they were unable to post bail.

Cortney Ramey, 18, of Lonna Court in Brick was arrested for driving while intoxicated on August 7 following a motor vehicle stop. Ramey was transported to headquarters where she was processed and released.

A Highland Avenue resident reported criminal mischief to their residence on August 9 at 9:47 a.m. The resident claimed an unknown suspect broke the light post to the residence.

A resident of the 500 block of Cumberland Street reports the theft of a wallet and several credit cards from their unlocked vehicle on August 9 at 11:00 a.m.
***
A resident of the 100 block of N. Euclid Avenue reported criminal mischief to their residence on August 9 at 12:56 p.m. The resident claimed an unknown suspect smashed the rear window to their vehicle.
