Brad Zimmerman This pre-New York City showcase will be the first time the Starlight Room will be used as a performance space. The Starlight Room will be configured to hold approximately 85 seats per performance.
In "My Son the Waiter: A Jewish Tragedy!" Zimmerman weaves an intricate and bittersweet tale of one man's lengthy (and we do mean lengthy) struggle to make it as an actor in New York. Part theatre, part stand-up, his homey send-ups on his childhood, family, career and misbegotten love life are as warm and poignant as they are hilarious.

Nominations are needed by Sept. 8 for a Chapel of Four Chaplains ceremony scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 at Congregation Knesseth Israel, 229 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook.
The ceremony will recognize individuals from around the state who have performed selfless service above and beyond that required by one's professional or organizational position and must have required a notable sacrifice on the part of the individual.
The Chapel of Four Chaplains, a national nonprofit organization, is named after four Army chaplains who, after giving their life jackets to soldiers who had none, linked arms with one another and went down with the troop ship Dorchester after it was torpedoed on Feb. 3, 1943.

Trinity United Church in Warren will follow ancient ritual and usher in the fall with a silent walk at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31 at the community labyrinth, 11 North Lane, Warren.
"Worship under the Stars" will also include a unique selection of songs and scripture passages so participants can reflect on significant personal, national and international events and begin to move slowly and intentionally into the fall.
"Walking the labyrinth can help us prayerfully reflect on our lives as spiritual journeys as we move into the fall," said the Rev. Elsie Armstrong Rhodes, church pastor.

SOMERVILLE -- Somerset Medical Center now offers non-emergency ambulance service to transport discharged patients to nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and other health care facilities.
"This new service will enhance the care that we provide to our patients," said Maureen Schneider, chief operating officer and chief nursing officer. "For the first time, medical center staff have the opportunity to care for patients from the moment they call for an ambulance until they return home after their treatment."
The Emergency Medical Services team has provided round-the-clock lifesaving care to Central New Jersey communities since 1982. The Mobile Intensive Care Unit responds to the scene of all serious accidents and emergencies in Somerset County, caring for patients with heart attacks, stroke, respiratory distress and diabetic shock. The care unit provides secondary Advanced Life Support coverage to portions of Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex and Morris counties.
